Requirements: Grades 11-12 only, Application Required, Full Year Program
GraphX Academy provides skills and experiences for the student interested in graphic arts/communications as a possible career or as background for advanced education after high school. This gives students the opportunity to experience the latest technology and employability skills needed to be successful in a graphic arts/communications career. The school-to-work transition is a major focus of the GraphX Academy. Articulation is available with Ferris State University and Washtenaw Community College.
GRAPH X 2 at Dexter High School
Requirements: Grade 12 only, Application Required, Full Year Program, Successful Completion of GraphX 1
Students focus mainly on customer-based orders from the Dexter community. Students are exposed to the entire business aspect of the Graphic Communications industry and move through the process of providing full-service imaging on many substrates. Our students will gain exposure to several key areas, including, customer service, cost estimating, scheduling, production, and shipping. Students record the entire process from start to finish, and as the semester advances, they compile a portfolio of all their completed work.
