DAVE GRABARCZYK - PERRYSBURG, OH

DAVE GRABARCZYK is an Award-winning wood artist from NW Ohio who specializes in creating unique valet and jewelry boxes.  This functional art is useful but also remains as an art object. Dave believes that "there is a natural beauty from these pieces of wood that it exhibits when the proper finish has been applied."  Over 35 years ago, Dave started by making children’s toys and household items and then advanced to these boxes made using a band saw.  The majority are made from oak and walnut and accentuated with decorative accents of exotic woods such as blood wood, wenge, padauk, sapele and others. These boxes feature a wide variety of designs, each one having drawers or compartments lined with rayon suede fibers.  Many feature a back or side hidden drawer.  Each one is cut free hand so no two are exactly alike.
