Sex Ed Advisory Board (SEAB) Holding Public Hearings
The Sex Education Advisory Board (SEAB) is a district-wide advisory committee tasked with the review and recommendation of sex education curriculum. At the last meeting, the SEAB recommended unanimously the inclusion of a series of lessons from the Body Safety Training curriculum in the lower elementary buildings in Saline. The goal of this curriculum is to teach students about various types of safety, including body safety, as a means of reducing the risk of sexual abuse against young children. In accordance with state law, the SEAB is holding 2 public hearings to present their recommendations to the community before presentation to the Board of Education for consideration and approval.
