Spring Break

It's Time to Enroll!
New families within the Saline Area Schools District boundaries are invited to enroll for the 2025-26 school year beginning March 17 at 9:00 a.m. New out-of-district families can complete a School of Choice Application between April 7 and May 6. Families of returning students will be invited to complete an Intent to Return Form in May. More information is available online at www.salineschools.org/registration
Young 5s/Kindergarten In District Registration Process
Process: Registration is fully online. Registration is open for the 2024/2025 and for the 2025/2026 school year. Please ensure you are selecting the correct year. When you upload your documents at the end of the registration process, they will be reviewed and you will be contacted only if further information is needed.

Below is a list of documents that will be required to upload:
Proof of Residency (two official forms of ID are required)*
Copy of the Birth Certificate
Current Immunization Record
Proof of Health Screenings (vision, hearing & dental). These screenings are required by the first day of school. *The vision screening must be done by a local Health Department or an eye doctor (pediatricians are not licensed to conduct this screening). It is recommended that screening was completed in the past 6 months and must include tests for monocular visual acuity and eye muscle function.
Proof of Guardianship (if applicable). If the student is not living with either parent, proof of full guardianship from the Probate Court must be submitted. This must be updated annually.
Court Documents (if applicable). A parent who wishes to have the school limit access to their child by the other parent must provide legal documentation to this effect at the time of registration. The school cannot deny a natural parent access to his/her child without documentation on file.
*Acceptable Proofs of Residency:
We are asking families to upload their state-issued photo ID (MI Driver's License or MI State Identification Card) as their first proof
For the second Proof of Residency, we can accept the following:
Current Utility Bill -OR-
Bank Statement -OR-
Tax Bill if you own your home -OR-
Warranty Deed -OR-
Lease Agreement (If used, a current utility bill must accompany the lease agreement)
If you are living with someone else in the district, a Shared Household Affidavit will need to be on file.
If you submit a form with a future move-in date for your proof of residency, AFTER you have moved into your residence, final documentation (warranty deed, etc.) must be submitted to the District Office by the date established at registration.

We have three elementary buildings serving Young 5s through 3rd grade
