Dear Parents & Community,
I would like to thank you for your ongoing support and interest in the Saline Area Schools (SAS). Our mission continues to support the desire for lifelong learning for our students, staff and community.
With the support of the Board of Education, our teachers, administrators, and support staff, we are committed to developing a well rounded educational program for all of our students. As a result, we have developed a learner profile that we call the “SAS Compass” in order to better support our graduates for their future endeavors. The Compass focuses on the 4 Cs (creativity, collaboration, communication and critical thinking).

We are very fortunate to live in a community that is incredibly supportive of our schools. We are thankful for the resources provided, allowing us to offer a top-notch education for students, in addition to the high level of engagement we receive from our volunteers, mentors and business partners. This kind of community support sends a powerful message to our students on the importance of education. As a community and school district, we are embracing efforts to promote diversity, equity and inclusion. It is important for all our students to see themselves in the curriculum and show empathy to others in order to showcase our unique differences.

We believe engaging our students creates possibilities. As part of our enduring commitment to developing opportunities for our students, we encourage them to explore a variety of unique experiences, hands-on activities, and a diverse set of course offerings. We are dedicated to giving your child more and helping them develop individual excellence on the pathway toward achieving personal goals. As a direct result of these efforts, approximately 97% of our graduating seniors attend two or four year institutions.

Saline is truly a great place to raise kids and SAS plays a major role. Although rankings only tell one part of the story, Saline Area Schools has once again received an A+ grade by Niche in 2021. This grade confirms SAS as one of the top school districts in the nation.
