Preschool Special Education
ECSE (Early Childhood Special Education) services can be delivered in community-based preschools or in a classroom with specialized instruction. Both settings are designed to meet the unique strengths and needs of children ages 2 years, 6 months to 5 years old. Students must meet the eligibility requirements established by the State of Michigan Administrative Rules for Special Education. Programs and services are determined by the evaluation team. The evaluation team can include a general education preschool teacher, a certified special education teacher, speech therapists, physical therapists, occupational therapists, teacher consultants, social workers, and a school psychologist. We strive to provide an inclusive approach to teaching by teaming with the Community Education Preschool classes at Liberty School. Programs are located at Liberty School-7265 N.
